Alanis ready for her new album - 2007-12-27
Alanis Morissette will release her first album in four years next spring, reported Billboard.com. Talking about her new material, she said, "Flavors of Entanglement" will feature 11 tracks including "Not As We," which features only piano and vocals, and "Moratorium," which is a song about her readiness to "stop repeating bad patterns." The album is said to combine world- and folk-influenced tracks with experimental pop, and features male back-up singers.
Alanis signs on for Radio Free Albemuth - 2007-11-06
Alanis Morissette has been tapped to star in sci-fi movie Radio Free Albemuth. In the film, based on Philip K Dick semi-autobiographical novel, the singer will perform Sylvia, a woman with cancer who appears in the visions of a record label executive. Alanis is said to be a huge admirer of Dick’s work, "I feel blessed to portray Sylvia and to be part of this story being told in film," she was quoted as saying. The movie will be written and directed by John Alan Simon.

Alicia Silverstone thinks in giving a hard time to Alanis Morissett next time they meet. The reason why the Clueless star is planning to do so is that Alicia wrote a letter of admiration to the singer and never got a response. "I wrote Alanis Morissette a fan letter telling her how I loved her music and even mentioning the name of our mutual friend. I never heard back. She could have written or called me,” Silverstone told the New York Daily News. She added, "Alanis must've just lumped me in with her fans or thought I was some stalker. When I see her I plan to give her a hard time."
